School Trips
Trips are one of the highlights of every child’s time at Ashtree Primary Academy. We've thoughtfully planned a variety of educational visits to spark children's enthusiasm for learning in every year group. These visits are planned to build pupils knowledge, skills, and understanding of the wider world carefully over their time with us. We carefully time our visits to align with what students are studying, making their lessons more meaningful and exciting.
Trips range from museums, to adventurous activities. A few examples include: Our EYFS classes explore the world around them with nature walks and bus rides, giving them the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the natural world and their local area.
Our year 1 students visit the British Schools Museum and our Year 2,3 and 4 students visit the London Science Museum allowing them to gain valuable knowledge and cultural experiences that will stay with them for life.
Year 3 and 4 are given the opportunity to experience an overnight camp on the school field and year 5 go on an adventurous activities day to Coldecotte Xperience. These opportunities help to build character and confidence, preparing them for their journey to secondary school and beyond.
Finally, our year 6 classes go on a residential trip to PGL. Not only does this trip build resilience and independence but it is a wonderful celebration at the end of their primary school journey.
